1. Sigiriya

Located in the Matale District of the Central Province, Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. It is a massive rock fortress with ancient frescoes, mirror walls, and landscaped gardens. Built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century, it is also known as the “Lion Rock” because of the lion-shaped gateway at the entrance. The view from the top is breathtaking.
